My Story
This is how I got here....
My story isn’t polished, it’s real.
I’ve been hustling since elementary school, selling Now & Laters to classmates and bagging groceries on Army bases.
I’m the son of two military parents, raised with discipline, drive, and a deep sense of responsibility. I’ve worked in government, consulted for global brands, and built my own from the ground up.
I’ve made mistakes as a man, as a husband, and as a father but I go to therapy because I refuse to let the weight of those mistakes derail my progress.
Most importantly, I’m a father of seven. Not perfect, but present.
Every chapter, every turn, brought me here. And I carry it all forward, not as baggage, but as my foundation.
BEFORE THE MIC, BEFORE THE BRAND — THERE WAS THE PEN
Long before I became a speaker, designer, or entrepreneur, I wanted to be a writer.
As a kid, I wrote love letters for my friends, until one of them tried to pass my words off as their own and got exposed. That was the end of the side hustle, but not the love for storytelling.
Raised by two military parents, My father made me read the newspaper out loud every day, planting the seeds of a writer’s voice early. I grew up inspired by Washington Post legends like David Aldridge, Mike Wilbon, and Tony Kornheiser; so much so, I entered college dreaming of a writing career.
But back then, writing didn’t pay like I thought it should, and I had bigger goals.
Still, the passion never left me.
Writing is how I reflect, process, and connect a quiet form of expression that grounds everything else I do.
